Personal Life Rant.

Hey Everyone!!

So, this is going to be a little bit of a rant about my personal life. I'm going to start getting into a few other posts that are book/beauty/normal people life related very soon! I just need to set aside some time that I'm not in class, doing homework, OR in a meeting to do it!

Anyways, what I want to rant about it people not caring. Basically, for something I'm doing in my life, we have to take quizzes every week, even though we are given the answers a week before that. And people are STILL failing them. We have to make an 80% average (not to toot my own horn, but I have a 100% average!) and then they complain about their grades when they don't do well on the quizzes. Study more and fix it. It's just memorizing. I'm tired of getting lectured about it when I do my share of studying for it and do well on them.

I just want to know why they are paying to not do well on things. What we're doing isn't free and it doesn't make any sense why this is happening. If they don't care, then they shouldn't be trying to do this because it's taking away from everyone else who is working hard for this!

It's just irritating that this is happening. Ugh.

How's your week going?! :)

See ya!

The Taste!

Hey Everyone!!

I know I watch a lot of tv, but sometimes I just get drawn to tv shows from the start! That's kind of what happened with The Taste on Tuesday nights on ABC at 8/7c!

It's a really fun show to watch after a long day at work/school and it's a great way to unwind at the end of the day! The Taste season begins with blind auditions of both professional and amateur cooks during which four judges, who double as mentors, taste one spoonful of food from each contestant prior to knowing who cooked it or what all the ingredients are.

It's really interesting to see what kind of food they can make into just 1 spoonful!!

Do you guys enjoy watching this show?! Let me know!!

Don't forget to watch it every Tuesday!

See ya!

Feeling Rebellious!

Hey everyone!!

So last week, I felt like being a rebel sort of! Growing up, my parents were always in charge of everything: how I dressed, what I ate, who I could hang out with, how I cut my hair, etc. But as I started to get older, I was allowed to start making more of my own decisions. However, I really never took advantage of being away from my parents & their rules.

So last weekend, I cut my hair (not a lot, just a trim, mostly because it needed it!) and I also dip-dyed my bottom layer purple. Yup, purple! Which means that since I'm a natural dark brunette, I had to bleach it first! AHHH!

I know my parents would probably not approve of this, but since I'm in college and what-not, I felt like it would be awesome to do it! And I really am in love with how it turned out! Although, I probably won't keep it purple for long, just because I do have a job and I'm not sure how they feel about colored hair like this.

Anyways, here's a terrible picture, but I can't really find good lightning to show it off!

It's not very noticeable in this picture, but you can really tell in person! I've gotten so many compliments about it and I love it! Also, I'm in love with my eye makeup in this picture (I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye liner in Zero on both top & bottom lines of my eyes and I used 3 coats of Maybelline's the Rocket! I don't think you can tell, but I also have on Maybelline's Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in Inked In Pink on my lids!)

What do you guys think about colored hair? I want to ombre it, but I don't think I could pull it off!

See ya!

I'm Back!

Hey Everyone!!

Wow, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've done a blog post for you guys! It's been a few weeks now and I am so sorry! It has been one of the busiest months that I can even remember ever having. There has been so much going on and I want to fill you guys in!!

First, my fraternity has taken up a lot of time. But not in a bad way at all. I seriously love everything about it and everything that we stand for. Since I am just a pledge, I don't know everything there is to know about this fraternity, but I'm really loving learning about it along the way. Each week we have a meeting with our pledge class & our pledge educator, who is amazing, and we discuss a lot of things about what we're doing for the rest of the semester. If we make it to the end of the pledging process (a couple more weeks left!!) then we will officially be invited to join the Brotherhood! I am absolutely in love with everyone in my pledge class and many, many of the brothers that I have gotten the chance to get to know.

Second, school has taken up a lot of time. I'm retaking a few classes that I didn't do great in during the previous semesters that I've been in college so I've been trying to pay a lot of attention to those classes while also trying to stay on top of my other three new classes. It's a lot of hard work because everything is mainly completed online and you just have to know when things are due. It's a trainwreck, I promise. I'm trying to work really hard this semester so that I can enjoy my summer, instead of stressing about my next semester.

Third, friends have taken up a lot of time. I like to have a social life and it's hard to do everything because there just isn't enough time in the day. But I'm trying to make it work.

Wow! So I want to start back strong by trying to put up a few more blog posts within the next week, if time permits! Maybe a book review because I just finished a few good books the last few days! and maybe a Week-At-A-Glance blog post where I talk about/document what happened during my week! I think that would be super fun!

Anyways, have a great weekend!!
It's starting to get to be some warmer weather outside so a few of my friends & I have been talking about going to play tennis soon! What are your favorite things to do outside?

What A Weekend!

Hey Everyone!!

Wow! I had such a fun-packed weekend that it's hard to even imagine that it all really happened! So far, this semester has been the best yet and I love it! And let me tell you why...

  • When school first started back up, I got to school the day before classes started because I wanted extra time with my family and friends back home and that was the best.
  • Now that classes are in full swing, I'm finally getting the hang of how I need to manage my time between school work and social time.
  • and Lastly, Delta Sigma Pi. Everything about this fraternity has left me with a smile on my face. Wednesday was Bid Day and Friday was the day I officially joined the Spring 2013 pledge class! Friday was spent doing a lot of bonding and I can tell you now that I'm ready for what this semester is going to bring me. I. Can't. Wait.

Well! I'm off to class now! I switched from a 10am class to an 8am class for the fun of it! Seems a little weird... because it is! Anyways, what's your favorite class? :)

See ya!
