Snow Day! and 2012 Favorites!!

Hey Everyone!!

So my university cancelled night classes yesterday for inclement weather [read: 2 inches of rain that frozen under 3 inches of snow which is unusual for where I go to school] (which means I didn't have to go to my 5:05pm class!) and then they delayed opening until 10am this morning (which means my 9:05am class got cancelled!). Then my only other class today got cancelled as well, so it's a snow day for me which is perfect because it's already a three-day weekend!

I thought I would go ahead and take this free time that I finally have this week to do a post about some 2012 favorites! I might come back in and add pictures, but for now, I'm just going to name them and then describe/short review them! Here we go!

FOOD!
  • Rafferty's Ole Boy fries: HANDS DOWN THE BEST. I could eat this as a meal and as a matter of fact, when I go to Rafferty's, I do!
  • Starbucks' Caramel Brulee Latte: This is my all time favorite cold weather drink. I wish they had it all year instead of just as a holiday flavor!
  • Grilled cheese sandwiches: I'm actually super obsessed with them because it's one of the only things I know how to cook without messing up here at school. So I like to make them because they're easy, cheap, and delicious! I also like to pair them with tomato soup or Spaghettio's!
  • Chickfila's Caesar Wraps: My best friend and I love to eat them because she works there. They're the perfect mix of chicken, lettuce, cheese, and caesar dressing. We haven't been able to quite recreate them though and apparently they're getting rid of them soon! SAD DAY!

BEAUTY!
  • The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub and Butter: These seriously smell so good! I have really dry skin in certain areas of my body so I like to use the scrub while I'm in the shower once or twice a week and then moisturize with the body butter! Highly recommend!
  • Suave Sunripened Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner: Since I try back and forth between home and school very little this school year, I needed something cheap to keep at home so that I wouldn't have to keep lugging it back and forth. I ended up picking this and while it was only $3 for both, it was a smart buy! I love them and it really lathers up great!
  • Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle: This is seriously a holy grail conditioner for me. I like to use this after I've used the Mane n' Tail shampoo because that leaves my hair really knotty. It's absolutely perfect and my only regret is not having found it sooner!
  • Victoria's Secret "Incredible" perfume: This is my absolute absolute favorite perfume. It smells so fresh, clean, but still girly and feminine! I get the small bottles because they fit in my backpack perfectly and I can just pull it out and give myself a little spritz!

FASHION!
  • American Eagle Midi shorts: I literally wore these every day over the summer and into the fall. They are the perfect length and so comfortable and stretchy. I can't wait to buy more!
  • Leggings: I wear leggings every day basically. They're so comfortable and I can pair them with some boots and a tshirt and they're perfect for going to class.
  • Nike Running Shorts: I love love love to wear these to sleep or to just go to class during the late spring/early fall. They're versatile, but I wear them mostly for comfort/style.
  • Northface: My jacket keeps me so warm and I always need it when I'm walking to class or going to work or anything!

RANDOM!
  • Nissan Altima 2.5s (Red): I just got a new car for my birthday and I'm in love with it. It's longer than my old car but it's so much nicer and better. I would tell people to buy this!
  • iPhone 5: I've been an avid iPhone user since they were released in 2007 [read: I got one of the first 10 sold in my city!] so when they released the 5 a little before my 2 1/2 year mark with my broken 4, I knew I had to get it! and I'm in love! It's so weird seeing older iPhones now compared to this one because it is amazing.
  • Peyton Manning!: I got to meet/sort of talk to Peyton Manning when he was on campus for something that was being dedicated to him earlier last semester. It was a great opportunity and I'm glad I got to do that.
  • CEO Nationals: This is going to have it's own blog post sooner or later, but I wanted to make sure I mentioned it here because I absolutely loved this experience and it's a definite favorite of 2012 for me!

Wow! That was like reliving 2012 a little for me! Awesome! That's all for now though!
What were some of your favorite things from 2012? I want to know!

See ya!
xoxo Jennifer!
