I'm basically the last 20 year old girl to FINALLY buy something from Sephora. I have gone in the store several times but I never found anything within my price range that I really felt like I needed. Well, the other day while I was in the big city near me, I strolled into Sephora to see if I wanted to get anything. I browsed the Benefit section for a while but walked away with nothing. I browsed the Urban Decay, Stila, and Nars sections for a while, but, again, walked away with nothing. I made my way to the back of the store and decided to look at the Soap & Glory products since they're so hyped up on youtube by all of the beauty gurus.

On my way there, I also picked up two more things, 1 from the section where they keep their brushes and one from the bins in the check out line (that's how they get you! good marketing on their part!)
Here's what I got! (very few items, and small items at that.)
The first thing I actually picked up to buy is the Soap & Glory "Clean on Me" shower gel that everyone raves so much about on youtube. I got the trial size for $5, which is a little more than 3 fluid ounces. It's a little too big for traveling on an airplane, but I think I'm going to keep it for when I move into my new apartment in a little over 2 weeks from now! It'll be nice to have before I really start to unpack my bathroom!
While in the check out line, I was looking at all of the bins to see if there was anything I may want to pick up and try out. Well, I picked up the travel size bottle of the Philosophy Purity 1-step daily facial wash! It foams up really nicely and has a tolerable scent. A downside would be that for the 3 fluid ounce bottle, it was $10! The upside to that problem is that it doesn't take a lot to to clean your face thoroughly.
I picked up a manual exfoliating brush for the face because I've been wanting to get a Clarisonic Mia, but after reading some reviews that talked about how it wasn't especially great, I figured why not try a manual one first anyways, to see if I would even use it. It was $6, which is great compared to the $100+ for the Clarisonic Mia! I really enjoy using the brush with Purity face wash! I may have found my holy grail items for face exfoliating!!
Overall, I'm really happy with my purchases from my first shopping experience in Sephora! I love everything I got and I can't wait to go back! Even though people think it's not as great as Ulta, I believe that they're just different stores. Sephora has a lot of exclusives from different brands, like I saw some Benefit sample-like boxes that had a cheek/lip tint (benetint, cha cha tint) or a liquid highlighter (sun beam, high beam) and a blush/bronzer in them for $30, but they're Sephora exclusive packaging! So there's always that. I do love both stores though, but Ulta is more convient for me now that we have one in my hometown and that there is one in the town where I go to school!!
What are your favorite things to buy from Sephora?!
See ya!
xoxo Jennifer
