Maybelline Baby Lips Review!

Alright, so not too long ago, I became obsessed with wanting to try out different beauty/cosmetic products that have been pretty popular. Well, one of the first ones I wanted to try out was the Maybelline Baby Lips. The price tag on these were sort of deterring, but then I got a a mascara pack that also had one of the Baby Lips in it, and fell in love at first. As soon as I tried my first one, I was like GOTTA BUY THEM ALL! So I did end up getting on Amazon and ordering 3 more for 8 dollars, which is significantly cheaper than buying them all individually in store. However, I did end up buying 2 more in store because I didn't get them online.

Well. After I got all of the other ones and tried them all out, I realized how much I actually didn't like any of them. They have a really terrible taste, which people have compared them to tasting like skittles & starbursts, which is untrue. The color payoff wasn't that great for the tinted ones. Although the formulation is the only thing that I can give it credit for because it was very smooth and very moisturizing, which is what it does claim to do.

In the above collage-

lower right corner: swatches with flash.
Upper right corner: (left to right) Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peppermint, Grape Vine, Quenched, Peach Kiss.
Lower left corner: tops of the lip balms.

The swatches are after rubbing the lip balms back and forth a few times, more times than I should have had to to get those colors. 4 are tinted and 2 are clear. The only one that is shimmery is Peach Kiss, which is hard to tell from any of these pictures.

Overall, I give these a rating of a 2. They are smooth & moisturizing, which is what they claim to do, but other than that, I wasn't as impressed by these as everyone else hyped them up to be. I did do my research before I ordered all of these, but you can never know how something is until you try it on your own! But, they were basically a waste of my money. I'll stick to my EOS lip balms, which I love a lot more.

See ya!
Jennifer xoxo.
